Somewhat apropos my last post, I have bought (but not yet picked up) another Sun monster to play with: an E4500 with 14 400MHz UltraSparc II processors and 14GB RAM. What am I going to do with it? Just wanted to make a note here, to help other people who come across my troubles with FastCGI, Apache 2, and Perl. These issues didn't seem much covered by Google, unfortunately.

I still have OS X 10.3 on my iBook, and frankly I don't see much point in upgrading to 10.4 right now. Maybe I'll upgrade to 10.5 once it comes out, I'm not sure.

for the rec.martial-arts FAQ, which is sorely in need of a markup update, XHTML seems like the best choice moving forward.
